Obituary of Kay Ellul
Peacefully at Victoria Hospital, with her loving family by her side on Tuesday, August 4th, 2026, Kathleen (Kay) Margaret Ellul (Aitken) of London passed away at the age of 83 years.
Beloved wife of 50 years to Joe Ellul of London. Loving mother of Koreen (Scottie) Melnick, Ken (Lisa) Melnick, and Nevada Ellul. Proud and cherished grandmother of Joe (Jes), Kevin (Steph), Alex (Michael), and Erin. Kay was a devoted great-grandmother (“GG”) to Axel, Bayne, and Nash.
Predeceased by her brother Carl Aitken (2016) and her sister Marjorie Feuerstein (2006).
Kay was a devoted member of the Church of the Ascension, where her faith and sense of community were a guiding part of her life. She was known for her kindness, generosity, and the simple joy she found in caring for others. Her door was always open, and she would give whatever she had to anyone in need.
She had a special love for her tulips and took great pride in tending to them each year. At home, she shared many lighthearted moments with her beloved husband Joe—especially when it came to his “wrastling,” which she never quite understood but always tolerated with a smile.
Above all, Kay was a deeply devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who treasured time spent with her family. Her warmth, humour, and unwavering love will be remembered and missed by all who knew her.
As she always said - Better Days Ahead
