Obituary of Leila Wettlaufer
Wettlaufer- Leila (nee: Green) passed away peacefully at the Elgin Manor on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at the age of 102.
Dearly loved wife of the late Lloyd Addison Wettlaufer (1966) and proud mother of Sharon and her husband David Trickett, Sandy and her husband David Palmer of Shedden and was predeceased by her daughter Donna Huddleston (2022). Loved grandmother of Geoff (Kim) Trickett, Andy (Ciara) Trickett, Jason (Darlene) Palmer, Jay Huddleston, Brook Huddleston and was predeceased by her grandson Steven Palmer (2000). She is survived by 12 great-grandchildren.
Leila was born in Woodstock, the daughter of the late Eva (Johnson) Green. She resided in Woodstock and formerly worked at the Firestone Factory. Leila’s family would like to take this opportunity to express their sincere thanks to all the caring staff at Elgin Manor who cared for and treated her like family for the past few years, your compassion and care will not be forgotten.
A private family graveside service will be held at the St. Mary’ s Catholic Cemetery in Woodstock. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Elgin Manor Recreation Fund (Mail to Elgin Manor 39262 Fingal Line, St Thomas, ON N5P 3S5) or to Animal Aide (mail to 333 Talbot St., St. Thomas ON N5P 1B5) in her memory.
