Obituary of Leone Barker

May 7, 1936 - July 17, 2026

Leone Ada Barker, peacefully passed at Victoria Hospital with her family by her side.  Predeceased by her husband, Harold.  She will be greatly missed by her daughters Debbie Barker and Cathy Lynch, her grandchildren Madison, Andrew (Meg), and Amanda, and her great granddaughter Aurora. 

Her positive outlook and caring heart were appreciated by all who knew her throughout her ninety years.  She was an obsessive reader, a masterful quilter, a bowler, a bridge player, a baker, a lover of Aruba vacations , a volunteer for Heart & Stroke, and a magician at being able to pull off family holiday dinners with seeming ease.  She was a great role model to her daughters, always enjoying quality time with family.  She also impacted many young lives as “Auntie” while running a home-babysitting service.  She has enjoyed the wonderful community at Longworth retirement for a decade, with fantastic staff support and new friendships formed.  The care she has received, both during this past week and throughout the last decade by so many caring professionals in the London area is truly exquisite. 

Visitation will be held at McFarlane & Roberts Funeral Home, 2240 Wharncliffe Rd S.,Lambeth on Tuesday, July 21, 2026 from 4-7 pm.  No funeral will be held, at her request.  Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation https://www.heartandstroke.ca/donations in lieu of flowers would be appreciated.
