Obituary of Alfie Burns
In Loving Memory of Alfred "Alfie" Burns
March 14, 1954 – June 30, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Alfred "Alfie" Burns, who was born on March 14, 1954, to Harry and Marg Burns.
Alfie spent most of his life in King Kirkland, where he proudly worked as a miner. He was a hardworking man who also built successful family businesses, including A&A Construction and King Containers. His dedication, strong work ethic, and willingness to help others earned him the respect of everyone who knew him.
Above all else, Alfie cherished his family. For more than 50 wonderful years, he built a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering devotion alongside the love of his life, his wife, Linda and his children. Whether he was hunting, fishing, spending time at camp, or simply enjoying being at home, Alfie was happiest when surrounded by those he loved.
Alfie was predeceased by his parents, Harry and Marg Burns; his sisters, Pearl and Jean; his brothers, Alex, Tubby, and Tracy. Brother in laws Bill Clifford and Albert Dube
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Linda; his children, Jim (Cindy) and Melissa (Derek); and the grandchildren who brought him endless pride and joy: Maranda (Dom), Olivia and her children, Emma, Billy (Kathrine, Lucas, Evan), Calvin (Paige). Rosemary (Adam) Sue Jeremy (Hunter) Nicholas (Ashley) He is also lovingly remembered by his siblings Rick, Cora, Gary, Ruth, and Russell, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who became family.
Alfie will be remembered for his strength, his kindness, his unwavering love for his family, and the countless memories he created with those fortunate enough to know him. His legacy will live on in the stories shared around campfires, on fishing trips, and in the hearts of all who loved him.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Cremation has taken place.
Alf's wish is to have a beer on him in celebration July 5, 2026, in the garage 2-4.
