It is with deep love and sadness that the family of Robert “Bob” Alexander of London announce his peaceful passing on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at the age of 91, surrounded by his devoted family.

Beloved husband of 56 years to Marlene Alexander (née Rowland), Bob was a cherished father to Murray (Carolyn) Alexander and Trevor (Tricia) Alexander. He was a proud and loving grandfather to William, Brendan, Kevin, and Daniel, all of whom brought him immense joy.

Bob will be fondly remembered by his brother Dave (Cal). He was predeceased by his brother Ken (late Marg) and his sister Jan (late Gary) Foy. He will also be dearly missed by his many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Born on May 19, 1934, Bob was the son of the late Stanley and Jean (Smith) Alexander. He dedicated 25 years of his career to IBM. Following his retirement, he continued to share his knowledge and passion by founding and operating RS Alexander Consulting and Training for 15 years.

In his younger years, Bob was an avid rally car and bicycle road racer, passions that reflected his adventurous spirit. He carried this enthusiasm throughout his life, enjoying watching Formula 1, the Tour de France, and NASCAR alongside Marlene. He also found great peace in feeding the birds and had a deep compassion for animals.

Bob and Marlene shared a love of travel, exploring the world together and forming lasting friendships wherever they went.

A celebration of Bob’s life will be held at McFarlane & Roberts Funeral Home, 2240 Wharncliffe Rd S London, on Saturday, May 9, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Words of Remembrance will be shared at 11:30 a.m., followed by a reception and luncheon.
