The family of Brenda Scott is saddened to announce her sudden passing and graduation into Heaven on Monday, December 29th, 2025, in her 75th year. Sharing the high points of a Sunday family gathering as they relaxed at the end of the day, Brenda took a breath and was gone on her way to meet Jesus, her Saviour and Lord.

Brenda is survived by her husband Brian of 52 years, daughter Meaghen and husband Brenden, (Austin, Jasmine, and Lincoln) of Murietta, California; son Matt and wife Fiona, (Cohen, Morah, and Noah) of London, Ontario; and daughter Melissa of Alexandria, Virginia; along with her brother Larry (Jan). Brenda is also survived by sister-in-law Susan (Jamie) McKishnie and brother-in-law Donald (Mary Jane) Scott as well as nieces and nephews. Brenda was predeceased by her parents, Simon and Jane Palmer, and her sisters Nancy Palmer and Judy Lawless.

Brenda and Brian met at U.W.O. in 1972 and were married in June 1973 while university students. Brenda graduated with a B.A. (1974), B.Ed. (1975), and M.Ed. (1979). Brenda also obtained her B.Th. (2003) followed by her M.Th. (2004). 

Brenda enjoyed her elementary teaching career (1974-1980) until daughter Meaghen was born, then home-schooled her children until opening a private Christian elementary school, Victory Christian Academy, (1999-2011).

Brenda and Brian are founding and senior pastors of Victory Christian Centre in London (1986-current). Brenda was a gifted leader, a gracious Bible teacher, and a very anointed vocalist. She loved singing and being an encourager to others. Close friends nick-named Brenda ‘Mrs. Poppins’ for her engaging personality and the encouragement she bestowed upon everyone she met. She loved Jesus and her family with all her heart; she will be greatly missed!  

Funeral Arrangements entrusted to McFarlane & Roberts Funeral Home, 2240 Wharncliffe Road South, London, Ontario N6P 1L1. Visitation – Friday, January 2nd from 6:00 -8:00 pm at the Funeral Home.

Funeral Service – Saturday, January 3rd at Victory Christian Centre, 104-4053 Meadowbrook Drive, London, Ontario N6L 1E8 at 2:00 pm with visitation preceding the service from 1:00 – 1:45 PM.
