Okkerman- Johanna of Dorchester passed away peacefully while surrounded by family on Sunday, November 30, 2025 at the age of 80. Loved mother of Walter Slingerland (Nancy) and Darlene Slingerland (Dan).

Proud Oma of Nicole (Jake), Michelle, Riley, Reece and Great Oma of Hannah, Amber, Evelyn and James. She is lovingly remembered by the Okkerman families in Holland.

Johanna was born in Holland the daughter of the late Johannes and Maria Okkerman. She formerly owned and operated Creative Décor in Lambeth and was formerly an active Lambeth Business Association Member. She was a member of St. Justin’s Parish and was a 50 year member of the Catholic Women’s League. The family wish to take this opportunity to thank her caregivers Deb and Lucy for their compassionate care.

An Open House visitation will be held at the Mcfarlane & Roberts Funeral Home 2240 Wharncliffe Rd S Lambeth on Wednesday December 3rd from 1-2 pm. Donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society in memory of Johanna.
