My dear condoleances. I'm having beautiful memories of staying at Hanneke's while visiting my family for a wedding. She was so kind to open her house. Hanneke was a very warm person and a favourite of my mother Clasien de Graaf-Bontje because of her sewing workshop. I wish the family a lot of strength with this loss. Leonie de Graaf, the Netherlands.

Dear Hann,
You chose to build your life in Canada,
a country far away - for us.
Although far away, you always remained close in our thoughts.
We appreciated the warmth with which you and your family welcomed us during our visits to Canada.
We remember you sitting 'gezellig'
on the floor with a cigarette, sharing
what was on your mind: 'Well, you know…’
You had a drive to get things done,
even if you were sometimes ‘a little’ impatient.
You were proud of what you ultimately achieved,
But above all, you were our beloved eldest sister.
In loving memory,
Je zus Cokkie
& Ed

My sincere condolences to the family.
Hanneke, you were kind, gentle and loving. It has not been easy watching your health decline everyday but you were determined to keep going. This gave me hope and confidence that tomorrow will be better.
You are gone now to a better place. Sleep well and rest with the Angels.

Farewell Hanneke,
As eldest of nine kids, you were like a mother, put us in bath and bed, handy and fast, like you always were.
Thank you for your love and attention.
Liefs Greet
