With great sorrow we announce the passing of Erwin Friedrich Wilhelm Lanaus on October 12, 2025.

Born March 6, 1948 in Lubeck, Germany to parents Erwin and Wilma Lanaus.

Beloved husband of 54 years to Janet, father/father-in-law of Chadwick (Kim), Ryan (Sarah) and devoted grandfather to Elwyn, Wilder, and Navy Lanaus.

Also survived by sister Elke, sisters in law Linda, Deanna and Anne.

Erwin was predeceased by parents Erwin and Wilma Lanaus, brother Eric, sister-in-law Ellen and brothers in law Don and Fred.

After several years of health challenges, which he faced with determination, Erwin passed away of post operative complications at L.H.S.C. In London, ON.

A fixture of over 40 years at Greenhills Country Club where he played golf, tennis and pickleball and where, on his last day of golf scored a hole in one. Such a fitting end to his final round.

Visitation will be held on Sunday October 19, from 1 to 4 pm. at the McFarlane & Roberts Funeral Home 2240 Wharncliffe Rd S, London. There will be a celebration of life for Erwin at Greenhills Country Club at a later date.
