Enid Restorick Obituary

Restorick- Enid Jean (nee Spence), a beloved mother, mama, gigi, sister, mother-in-law, aunt & friend passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sept 26, 2025 in London, Ontario at the age of 91. She was born October 10, 1933, in Monteagle Township to Bertha (Pearl) Elizabeth Spence & Charles Henry Spence. Her guidance, kindness, inspiration & dry sense of humour touched the lives of everyone she met.

Enid enjoyed her long career & made lasting friendships at Westinghouse (ABB). She also loved baking, quilting, knitting, crocheting, ceramics, paper tole, golfing, the casino, sunbathing, shopping & Christmas. She never missed an episode of the Young & the Restless and loved her little dog “Diva Dolly”.

Enid delighted in her role as grandmother to Kendra & Carly, taking on the moniker of “Mama”. From the onset she made it a point to be as engaged as possible in their lives. From babysitting, to knitting them sweaters, to attending piano recitals, to accompanying them on school trips, to attending birthday parties (mastering the art of making cotton candy), to attending equestrian competitions and family vacations, she was always available for her “girls” no matter how busy her life. Watching her granddaughters become mothers to Soleil and Cambrie in what seemed to her “the blink of an eye” was her crowning glory.

Enid cherished each of her friendships, sharing her opinions to all openly and frankly. Her door was always open for a cup of tea. She enjoyed long phone chats, joint family outings, informal meals, entertaining, sharing a game of golf & helping in times of difficulty and sadness. Enid was up for all of it. She was not known for just enjoying her friendships but also for being a good friend. She prided herself on being able to keep a secret forever. Enid knew that friendships, like gardens, take work to maintain. She was ever willing to put in the effort and thus reaped the rewards. Special thanks to Pat, Debbie & Donna for their enduring friendships.

Enid is predeceased by her husband Charles William Restorick, her siblings Willard Spence, Elmer Spence, Luella Reeves & Earl Spence. She was survived by her sister Phyllis Peelow-Easton by a mere 10 hours. Both Enid & Phyllis would have been devastated with the loss of the other if either had known.

She will be forever missed by her children Lee Restorick (Janice) & Lynn Marcum (Steve Harvey), her grandchildren Kendra Hurrell (Steve Ramos) & Carly Renault (Craig), great grandchildren Soleil Ramos & Cambrie Renault, as well as special nieces, nephews, family & friends. She leaves a void that will never be filled.

A special thanks to the staff at Kensington Village for the genuine compassion and outstanding care that they have shown Enid over the last few years.

A celebration of life will be held at a future date and time yet to be decided. McFarlane & Roberts Funeral Home 2240 Wharncliffe Rd S Lambeth entrusted with the arrangements.
