Mills - Robert Arthur “Bob” of London passed away peacefully while surrounded by his family, on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at Victoria Hospital. He was 79.

Bob was the dearly loved husband of Christina “Chris” (Konik) Mills, and a devoted father to Jaime Mills and her husband Jamie King of Toronto and Jeff Mills of London. Proud to be called “Pops,” by his thoughtful and precious granddaughter, Emily Mills.

Dear brother of Janet Conly (late Daryl) of Waterloo and was predeceased by his sister Maureen MacDonald and is remembered by his brother-in-law John MacDonald of Burlington. He is survived by several nieces and nephews. Bob was born January 27, 1946 in Galt, the son of the late Arthur and Isabel (Walker) Mills.

He built a meaningful career as a pharmacist, serving with dedication and care at both St. Joseph’s Hospital in London and Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital. After retiring he loved to complete locums around Ontario. He loved his work and the people he helped.

Bob’s life was rich with things he loved - spending time with family especially when he could finally pass on the barbequing to grown kids. Gardening to his heart’s content, traveling with Chris or friends to far away places. He loved to camp in Provincial parks especially when it rained, canoe across big lakes, and had a kid-like fascination for the details of aviation, trains, and automobiles. He was a passionate volunteer at Salthaven Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education Centre, where his gentle nature and commitment to wildlife made an impact. Bob made many friends during his 79 years on earth.

The family wishes to thank the LHIN and St. Elizabeth Health Staff, and to the doctors Philip Vanderwall, H. Razvi, L. Hanna and lastly Oonagh Scallon for their compassionate care.

A service in celebration of Bob’s life will be held at McFarlane & Roberts Funeral Home, 2240 Wharncliffe Rd S, London, on Friday, October 3, 2025, at 1:00 PM, followed by a reception. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service, from 12:00 to 1:00 PM. A private family interment of ashes will follow.
