I spent a good deal of my childhood in the Girardin household. Rita was like a second mother to me growing up, always made me feel welcome, loved and safe in their family. She was a supporter of our crazy adventures and ideas and allowed us the freedom to explore the world. Although we haven't seen much of each other over the last serveral years, she made a lasting impact on my life. She will always be remembered fondly.
I remember Rita as a good friend from King Edward School in Sault Ste. Marie Ontario. I was her schoolmate and friend. Had a lot of wonderful times.
