Dear Leah, Brittany, and Matthew,
I’m heartsore to hear of Mark’s passing. He was an older cousin to me, and despite our 11 year difference growing up he always treated me as an equal—I think that spoke to an inherent kindness in him.
I always admired the way he carried himself and reveled in how much our family loved him. Mom and Dad never missed an opportunity to share whenever they had a moment with him. He was another cherished son to them.
I last saw Mark at Colleen’s wedding—much too long ago of course—but it was a highlight of the day for me. I will think of him always as the big hearted, quick to smile, great dancer, and genuine salt-of-the-earth human that I’ve known him to be all these years.
Like everyone that knew him, I will miss him dearly and he will forever live in my heart and my fondest of memories.
