Dear Ida, Diane, David and family,
We are so sorry to hear of Frank's passing. This is the fear we had of going away on a holiday. To us, it feels like we have "abandoned the ship". We wish so badly that we could have been there with and for you. I am sure Ed served you well.
I have known Frank for 28 years and we will miss his constant jovial nature, the smile that never left his face and.his sense of always wanting to help. He was a gentleman and a gentle man in every sense of the word!
We know the last few years of Frank's life were not what he would have wished for, but like a true Baker, he persevered without even a grumble.
In the winter weather, we would ask, "Frank, where is your cane?" "In the car", he would reply. Where it was safe, I guess, but he
wasn't.
Ida and Diane, you can have no regrets. You cared for Frank for many years, even when we are sure it took all your energy. Well done! You should be proud of yourselves.
We will see you when we get back. And to our great friend Frank, Farewell, Gentleman.
