It is with great sadness the family of Peter Calvert of Lambeth, announce his passing on Tuesday, February 27th, 2018 at Victoria Hospital in London, Ontario.  Beloved husband of Verna (Lagroix) Calvert for 51 years.  Loving father of Mary Lynne (Mark Dejaegher) and Jennifer Calvert.  Proud grandpa of Thomas, Joseph and Claire.  Survived by his sisters Judy Kay Darby and Jane Pettitt (Ron) and his brother David Calvert.  Predeceased by his parents George Calvert and Eileen (McDonald) Calvert and his siblings Susan and Matt Calvert.  He will be missed by his in-laws Jim and Nevaida Howe, Earl Lagroix, Deanna Lagroix, Onagh Ross and Yvonne Lagroix.

Peter was born in Toronto and as a young boy, he attended St. Michael's Choir School where he thrived in this musical environment.  As an adult, he was asked by the Bishop to start a choir at Our Lady of Sorrows' Catholic Church in Etobicoke and it was there that he met his wife, Verna.  They were married on August 13, 1966.

Peter was transferred to work in St. Thomas and Peter and Verna settled in the Lambeth area where they raised their daughters, Mary Lynne (Mark Dejaegher) and Jennifer Calvert.  Peter was so proud of his grandchildren, Thomas, Joseph and Claire. 

Peter was an avid gardener and was a member of the Lambeth Horticultural Society.  He also sang in various choirs and was a soloist at weddings and funerals on numerous occasions.
